12月28日，工业和信息化部等部门联合对外发布的《“十四五”智能制造发展规划》明确提出，到2025年，建成500个以上引领行业发展的智能制造示范工厂。
China will build more than 500 industry-leading smart-manufacturing demonstration plants by 2025, according to a development plan on smart manufacturing issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other departments on Dec 28.

智能制造是发展壮大战略性新兴产业，加快形成现代产业体系的重要手段，可以带动工业机器人、增材制造、工业软件等新兴产业发展，在全球范围内推动产业的协同合作和优化升级，提升产业链供应链现代化水平。作为制造强国建设的主攻方向，智能制造发展水平关乎我国未来制造业的全球地位。发展智能制造，对于加快发展现代产业体系，巩固壮大实体经济根基，构建新发展格局，建设数字中国具有重要意义。
《“十四五”智能制造发展规划》明确提出“两步走”，即到2025年，规模以上制造业企业大部分实现数字化网络化，重点行业骨干企业初步应用智能化；到2035年，规模以上制造业企业全面普及数字化网络化，重点行业骨干企业基本实现智能化。《规划》从创新、应用、供给和支撑4个方面，提出了“十四五”推动智能制造发展的主要任务。
